The Honey Whiskey Mint Mojito for this week’s Whiskey Wednesday is brought to you by the ever lovely people over at Everyday Dishes.
Calling any mojito a mint mojito is a little redundant since the three main ingredients in a mojito are usually mint, lime, and rum. But for this one we’ve swapped out the rum for a sweet honey whiskey that is the perfect adaptation on this classic favorite. Beware thought, this guy comes out super sweet which makes springtime is the perfect time to add it into your repertoire!
You’ll need:
- 10 mint leaves
- 2 Tbsp honey
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- juice of 1 lime
- 4 oz honey whiskey
- 4 oz ginger ale
Muddle mint, honey, sugar, and lime juice in a cocktail shaker and muddle until sugar is dissolved. Add ice, whiskey, and ginger ale to the shaker and shake away! Strain into glasses and garnish with more mint and lime for a extra touch.
The original recipe claims it serves two, and while we believe them, we had trouble sharing.
Cheers friends!
