McPhail's Zombie Musical 'Anna and the Apocalypse' Will Premiere at Fantastic Fest

BWiFF 2016 Best Director John McPhail'slatest will be having its World Premiere at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas this September. Anna and the Apocalypse is a zombie musical shot in Glasgow, Scotland about a teenage girl and her friends who must fight and sing their way through a zombie invasion to get to safety.

McPhail has had several films selected for competition and exhibition at BWiFF, including Notes (2013), V for Visa (2014), and Where Do We Go From Here? (2016). V for Visa took home the award for Best Editing in 2014 and Where Do We Go From Here? was the winner of four Blue Glass Awards in 2016, including Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Original Score. Anna and the Apocalypse will feature Ella Hunt, Malcolm Cumming, Sarah Swire,Christopher Leveaux, Ben Wiggins, Marli Siu, Mark Benton, Paul Kaye, Ella Jarvis, and Calum Cormack.
