Self-Tape Instructions Using a Cell Phone
  • Set up your cell phone in either a horizontal or vertical position to record yourself with a blank wall behind you. Make sure the space you are recording has sufficient lighting and no background noise to distract from your performance.
  • When looking up from your audition side, be sure to look at the camera lens as your focal point instead of yourself on the screen.
  • At the start of recording, SLATE your audition by stating your first and last name followed by the role you are reading. Then pause for a moment before performing your audition.
  • When finished, upload your audition to YouTube or Vimeo with visibility set to UNLISTED. Once uploaded, send the link to charactersdrivestories@bwiff.com along with a headshot and resume (if available).
