Festival alum Jack C. Newell’s latest feature film Reporting for Christmas is coming to Hulu beginning November 1 and will be available to stream throughout the holiday season. The film is also now available to pre-order on Apple TV for $9.99.
Reporting for Christmas follows an idealistic television producer (Tamara Feldman) who is assigned a puff piece about a Christmas toy manufacturer. It is while on assignment for this segment where the producer meets a charming toymaker (Matt Trudeau) who inspires her to search her heart to find true happiness.
Newell’s work has been exhibited at the Blue Whiskey Independent Film Festival more than once. BWiFF 2013 audiences will remember his improv-based coffee shop comedy Close Quarters, which won the Blue Glass Awards for Best Supporting Actor (T.J. Jagodowski) and Best Supporting Actress (Kate Duffy). Newell returned at BWiFF 2016 with Open Tables and received three Blue Glass Awards, including Best Screenplay (Jack C. Newell), Best Narrative Feature, and Best of Fest.
